Team New Zealand to Compete at World Pool Teams Championship

We are pleased to announce that for the very first time New Zealand has been allocated a spot by the World Pool Association to compete in the World Pool Teams Championship to be held 27th July – 2nd August in Beijing China.
We believe this is a huge opportunity for New Zealand Pool to be part of this event with over 24 different countries competing for the World Championship title.

Teams are made up of 3 men and 1 women where disciplines 8-Ball, 9-Ball & 10-Ball are played giving the kiwis a chance to showcase there all around pool skills.

The NZPA have selected the National team based on rankings, recent results and what we believe to be the best available team.

There is a huge commitment for the team with scheduled team practice which consists of 3-4 times per week (around 4 hours each session) involving practice drills, strategy’s along with match play and team building exercises.

The Team is lucky enough to have Colin Cox and Lena Gray world accredited specialists in People Performance and Neuro-Semantics Sport Psychology on board.
Colin and Lena will be working to make sure the team is both mentally and physically prepared where the team will gain mental toughness overcome performance anxiety and learn the secrets of elite athletes sporting success.
